Lord, bend my ear to hear your voice

Lord, bend my ear...

If we are in the habit of listening, of walking with Jesus in our daily lives,

we'll pick up on hints while they're still subtle; we won't need something catastrophic

to awaken us to the fact that we've taken Jesus' crown for our own heads and,

once again, slapped ours on his.

That humility is the first step in re-aligning ourselves with the Love that created

and sustains us all, the One who became one of us to redeem us and lead us home.
